Senior Portrait Sessions

I view senior sessions like a visual time capsule, documenting a significant moment in time in your child's life. The end of one big chapter and the beginning of the next one. They are fun, all about your senior and are customized to capture their likes, hobbies & personality.

Things to consider:
Location - Is there a location that has a special meaning for your child? Is there a particular look/feel/vibe that they would like as the backdrop? Popular options are urban/industrial/city, wooded, park, open field with tall grass, high school campus.
Hobbies & Athletics - Does your child participate in any extracurricular activities? Sports/theater/band/art etc. and would they like to incorporate these in their session?
Outfits - Typically there are three to four outfits - casual, formal, athletic (if applicable), cap & gown (if available), college shirt (if they know which school they will be attending).
When to schedule? - Senior sessions can take place at any time during the year, but there are two main deadlines to consider: 1. Mid October when picture submissions are due to the yearbook, and 2. Spring when most graduations take place. If you would like these images to be included in the yearbook, then having the session take place in August/September would be ideal so they are ready for the typical mid October yearbook deadline. If you are more interested in documenting your child as close to graduation (let's face it, some kids change significantly in their senior year) and having pictures in time for graduation announcements, then March/April are your target deadline.
But what will I do with these pictures? - There are many uses for these images starting with including them in the yearbook, graduation announcement, graduation party invitations, gifts for family members around the holidays, print, frame & display in your home, headshot for professional purposes.
