Whether you’re welcoming new life, celebrating a milestone, or simply wanting to pause time for a moment, this session is thoughtfully guided and tailored to you—so the experience feels natural, unhurried, and genuine.

The Signature Portrait Session Experience

Session Fee: $299
Due at the time of booking to reserve your session date
The session fee does not include digital images.

Your session fee covers the complete experience from start to finish, allowing you to relax knowing every detail is handled with care.

Travel is included within 35 miles of Fort Mill. Locations beyond this distance may require a travel fee and must be discussed at the time of booking.

Life, in Black & White is a documentary-style session created to preserve those fleeting, everyday moments exactly as they are—real, unposed, and beautifully honest.

This experience takes place in your home, where your family feels most comfortable. There is no posing, no coordinating outfits, and no added props. Just your life, unfolding naturally, captured with intention and care.

This session is designed to feel calm, unobtrusive, and completely pressure-free.

I observe quietly and document what’s already there—the connection, the rhythm, the emotion—so your images feel timeless, intimate, and true.

FAQ

What should we wear for our family session?

You don’t have to figure this out on your own—I’ll guide you every step of the way.

You’ll receive access to my detailed What to Wear Guide, which walks you through how to coordinate outfits effortlessly without being overly matched. I’m also happy to review your outfit choices and offer feedback before your session.

In addition, you’ll have access to my online interactive styling tool, which carefully curates clothing options for your entire family based on your style preferences and color palette, complete with direct shopping links if desired.

The goal is simple: outfits that feel natural, comfortable, and timeless.

Where will the session take place?

Family and maternity sessions take place outdoors at a location such as a park, farm, or beach. I’ll work closely with you to select a location that fits your family, your style, and the overall feel you want for your session.

Newborn sessions take place in my studio in Rock Hill, which is designed to be calm, comfortable, and baby-led.

How long will it take to receive our images?

You’ll receive a sneak peek image or two within 24 hours of your session. These teasers are low-resolution and watermarked for sharing.

Your full gallery will be delivered approximately three weeks after your session. During busier seasons (spring and fall), turnaround time may be slightly longer.

Once your gallery is ready, you’ll receive a private online link where you can select your images. This gallery can also be shared with family and friends, allowing them to place their own orders if they wish.

What if the weather doesn’t cooperate?

Weather decisions are made the day of the session, sometimes just a few hours before, to give us the best chance of ideal conditions.

I do not photograph in:

Heavy rain or downpours
Freezing temperatures
High winds

I closely monitor the forecast and will be in touch if conditions aren’t optimal and rescheduling is needed.

I’m expecting—when should I book my maternity session?

Maternity sessions are best scheduled between 30–36 weeks of pregnancy. To ensure availability, I recommend reaching out early in your second trimester to reserve your spot on the calendar.

What should I wear for my maternity session?

You’re welcome to wear your own outfit or choose from my client closet, which includes a variety of maternity gowns in different colors and styles.

Clients are invited to visit the studio to try on and select gowns prior to their session so everything feels comfortable and intentional on the day of your shoot.
