Portrait sessions are a way for you to document your family, life, love, personalities, connections and milestones. I will work with you to document the chapters that makes up your story; the ones that will be told sitting around the kitchen table when memories are a little faded and the pictures help to guide the trip down memory lane. The love, the laughter, the moments that define them.
I customized the session for your needs, style and the milestones you are looking to document; maternity, annual family portraits, first birthdays, senior portraits, extended family sessions or just because.
Portrait Session Details
$299 Session Fee - due at time of booking to secure/book the date*.
The session fee does not include images.
Included:

Time (communicating, planning, preparing, traveling, shooting, post-processing, and presenting your proofs for selection in a convenient online gallery), experience, creativity and talent of the photographer, use of props, as well as pre-session guidance and post session ordering consultation

Approximately +/- 1 hour session at a location of your choice - farm, beach, park, etc.

Outfit selection guidance as well as access to an online interactive styling tool that will carefully curate clothing options for you and your family based on your style and color palette

Life is what happens in the moments between the big things. It’s the routine, the daily grind, those little moments that seem so insignificant at the time, but when you look back, they are the things that you remember the most, and most often, the ones that mean the most. Snuggling in bed reading books or watching a family movie, bath time, cooking or baking together, playing games or making art projects, playing dress up or simply taking a nap on the couch.
A life in b&w session aims to capture those real, unscripted, unposed, everyday moments in a beautiful way. It takes place in your home and looks to freeze a moment in time, the essence of you and your family, with no posing, coordinating outfits, and no additional props. Just you and your family.

FAQ
What should we wear for our family session?
I have a detailed "what to wear" guide which offers tips oh how to put your outfits together. I am also available for consultation and will be happy to provide feedback on your choices. New for 2020 is an online interactive styling tool that will carefully curate clothing options for you and your family based on your style and color palette and provide links on where you can purchase the recommended items.
Where will the session take place?
Family & maternity sessions take place outdoors (park, farm, beach, etc.). I will work with you to identify the perfect location for you. Newborn sessions take place in my studio, which is located in Rock Hill. Milestone and first birthday sessions can take place either outdoors (weather permitting) or in the studio.
How long will it take to receive the final images?
You will receive a teaser or two within 24 hours of your session. The teaser will be a low resolution image and it will have my watermark on it. Turnaround time for the final images is about 3 weeks after your session - during the busy seasons (spring & fall), turnaround time may be a little longer, so please schedule your session accordingly. Once your gallery is complete you will receive a private link where you can select your final images. The digital gallery link can be shared with family & friends and they can place an order for their own images.
What about the weather?
I do not make the weather call until the day of the session, sometimes not until a few hours before the session. The only conditions I will not shoot in are downpours, freezing cold and high winds. I am always watching the weather and will be in touch should conditions are not optimal and your session needs to be rescheduled.
I am expecting, when should I book my maternity session?
It is recommended that your maternity sessions take place between week 30-36 of pregnancy, so make sure to contact me at the beginning of your 2nd trimester.
What should I wear to my maternity session?
Maternity clients have the option of wearing their own outfit or choose a gown from my client closet. I have dresses in many colors & styles and clients are invited to the studio to try on and select the gown/s for her session.
